However, in order to make your travel safer, worthy and more meaningful, the following travel tips might just come in handy-

1) One of the most important travel tips is to plan and book your air tickets to and from Hawaii as early as possible. It is also true that weekend flights almost always tend to be more expensive than weekday ones. So the advice is to land in Hawaii on any weekday and to fly out of the Island on a weekday.

2) A relevant question while planning to visit Hawaii is to ask “Which is the best time of the year to visit these islands?”One can make the most economical trips to Hawaii between April and December since Hotel rates are usually lowest during this period. Hawaii weather is usually great in the months of April, May, September and October. So, this can be a fun time to visit Hawaii. However, visitors from the mainland rush to Hawaii in the months of January and February, mainly to avoid cold blizzards. Basically, it is safe to say that you can visit Hawaii all round the year and still manage to have a great time.

3) It is very important to keep in mind a few dressing tips while visiting Hawaii. It is always better to bring clothes that are loose and lightweight such as shorts and loose pants. Especially comfortable for Hawaiian weather are loose fitting, sleeveless or short sleeved shirt and tops. Sunglasses and hats help a lot to keep out excessive sun exposure. Lightweight cotton tees are often the best clothes for Hawaii. Coats and other formal wear are only recommended if you plan to visit some of the more exotic restaurants in Hawaii.

4) The Hawaiian Islands include the Big Island, Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, Maui and Lanai. You can “hop” from one island to the next in less than half an hour’s flying time. Short visits to these islands are fun since there is considerable diversity between the islands. Early airline booking can sometimes be inclusive of such an Island hopping schedule.

5) Perhaps the best way to take in the picaresque landscape of Hawaii once you are there is to take a bird’s eye view of the islands. Helicopter transport offers a great way to accomplish this. For travel groups with three or four members, custom flights are available. The aerial mode of sight-seeing is most enhanced when you are armed with digital binoculars and fast film camera. Waterfalls, and other mountainous terrains, sometimes inaccessible by land, can be enjoyed this way.

These are some of the more salient travel tips. Follow them and have a rocking time in Hawaii!

The state of Hawaii, consisting of eight major islands and several smaller ones, is one of the most picaresque places to live on earth. In addition to the several thousands of tourists who visit Hawaii, many people fancy moving permanently to Hawaii. If you are considering relocation to the Hawaii islands, the following tips might be of use:

1) Visit the islands well beforehand and make sure you get to spend at least a day in each island. Each island has its own unique landscape and other features which makes it very different from the others. Because of the diversity in job opportunities, resources and culture, one needs to look around the islands in some detail before making up their mind as to which island to move to. The Hawaiian island of Oahu, is the busiest and most populated island among the lot. Others are less busy and more relaxing.

2) Housing costs are one of the most important things to keep in mind while planning to set up residence in Hawaii. Mainly owing to its exotic location and beaches, houses and almost all other living costs are higher in the islands compared to other states. For those wishing to opt for an island with a slightly lower cost of living, Maui would be the place.

3) However, job opportunities must be looked into in detail, before deciding to reside in Hawaii. If your decision to relocate to Hawaii is because you already have a decent job offer from the islands, then job hunting worries can be avoided. For those who want to move to Hawaii and then find a job, things are a bit more difficult. Most of the available jobs are white collar ones in the areas of Information Technology and Healthcare. The number of customer service jobs on the offer is less.

4) While moving to the Hawaiian Islands, always bring as little furniture as possible. This is so because moving costs to Hawaii are expensive and moreover, you can buy most of your household stuff in the islands. But it is a good idea to bring clothing such as T-shirts, loose pants, sets of formal wear, light weather jackets, etc…

5) It might be useful to find a Hawaii school district to move to especially if you have school going children. Additionally, property resale values are almost always better in school districts.

6) If you want to depend entirely on public transportation in Hawaii, then you must choose wisely. A couple of islands, such as Oahu, have well connected public transport while some others are poorly connected by bus. However, taxi services can be found in all the islands.

7) You can bring your car from the mainland to Hawaii without paying much more than a thousand dollars. A couple of companies in the mainland offer car-moving services.

8) A wise thing to do would be to check out the safety of your proposed residence site. Hawaiian police stations will have crime rates and the types of crimes. In certain areas, armed robberies are high.

9) If you plan to move your pet animal to Hawaii, then plan at least four to five months prior. Hawaii has very strict laws for allowing pets into the island.

10) You can bring your plants to Hawaii. But they have to be inspected and certified safe by the authorities. You must prepare to discuss this with the US Department of Agriculture about this.
